GPS Pro Camera privacy policy

Effective: 6 October 2026 ยท NishadDev (Arvind Nishad)

GPS Pro Camera ("the app") is made by NishadDev (Arvind Nishad) ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: your photos stay on your phone. There are no accounts and we never receive your photos. The only thing that can reach our own server is the signed capture record of a photo you protect with a verify code (Full Access), described below, and you can switch that off.

What stays on your phone

What leaves your phone, and why

ServiceWhat is sentWhy
Your phone's address lookup (Google on Android, Apple on iOS)Your coordinatesTo turn coordinates into a street address
Map tiles: Esri (esri.com) for satellite and hybrid maps; MapTiler (maptiler.com) or OpenStreetMap for street mapsWhich map tiles are needed, which reveals the approximate area; your IP addressTo draw the map on the stamp and in the app
MET Norway (api.met.no), only if you turn on WeatherYour location rounded to about 1 km; your IP addressTo print the temperature and conditions
Your phone's speech recognition (Google on Android, Apple on iOS), only when you tap the microphone to dictate a noteYour voice while you dictate; the phone's recognizer may process it onlineTo turn speech into text
Our verify site, verify.nishaddev.com (run by us on Cloudflare), only for Full Access photos with "Public verify page" onThe signed capture record: time, place, address, coordinates, accuracy, altitude, app version; the file's SHA-256 hash; your phone's public signing key; the timestamp proof; your IP address (kept only as a hash for about two days, to stop abuse)So anyone with the code printed on the photo, or its QR code, can check the photo is genuine. The photo itself is never sent
OpenTimestamps calendars (opentimestamps.org, eternitywall.com), only with Blockchain time proof on (Full Access)One SHA-256 hash covering a batch of photos, each first mixed with a random number; your IP addressTo prove the photos existed at that time by anchoring the hash in Bitcoin. The hash can't be turned back into a photo
Google AdMob, Free plan onlyDevice and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location from IP, ad interactionsTo show ads; see below
Google Play / Apple App StoreYour purchase, handled entirely by the storeTo sell and restore Plus, Pro and Full Access

The verify site

A record on the verify site is public to anyone who has its code (GC-XXXX-XXXX), which is printed on the photo and in its QR code. The page shows the time, place, address and coordinates of the photo, the same details the stamp already shows. It does not show the photo, your name or your phone's identity beyond its public key. Records are kept so the code keeps working for as long as the photo is used as proof.

To stop new records being published, turn off **Settings > Authenticity > Public verify page, or Verify code on the stamp**. To delete a record, email support@nishaddev.com with the code from a photo you took; we delete it within 30 days.

Ads (Free plan)

The Free plan shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may use device identifiers and cookies to show and measure ads, and, where you allow it, to personalise them. Where the law requires consent (for example in the EU, UK and Switzerland), the app asks before any ads load, and you can change your choice any time from Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Google's use of data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Plus, Pro and Full Access have no ads; the ads SDK is then not started.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only learns which plan you own.

Permissions

You can turn any of these off in your phone's settings. The app keeps working without location; photos then carry no place or coordinates.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Your choices and deleting data

Everything the app stores is on your phone. Deleting photos in the app removes them; uninstalling the app removes everything it stored, except copies already in your gallery and records on the verify site. To delete a verify-site record, email us its code. Requests about data held by Google, Apple, Esri, MapTiler or MET Norway go to those companies.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
